Las Vegas Swimming Pool Service Maintenance Is Always Vital to Enjoyment

Well, it’s time for another Las Vegas landscaping expert article. But this time, we may throw you for a loop because we are focusing on swimming pool maintenance. There are a couple reasons for this. The first one is that a subsidiary company of ours is Environmental Creations, where we specialize in pool care and maintenance for the Las Vegas area including Henderson, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Green Valley, and other areas of Southern Nevada.

If you think about it swimming pool care and maintenance–especially in the Las Vegas and Southern Nevada area– pretty much goes hand in hand with your landscaping. Why? Because usually it’s your landscaping that is causing a lot of the issues with your swimming pool, whether it be leaves and/or debris from your trees or shrubs, rocks getting knocked into the pool from your landscape design, or a number of other potential hazards. All of these can impede the a smoothly-operating pool system which included pumps, vacuums, and chemicals all working together.

Whether you are a current customer, looking for a new pool maintenance company, or enjoy caring for the swimming pool on your own, here are some great tips to help keep your swimming pool looking good and the water healthy. As we have stated in the past, we enjoy reading other articles and learning tips from other swimming pool experts. Today, we take a cue from the good folks at Leslie’s who offer some great swimming pool maintenance tips.

A question we hear quite a bit is, “How long do I run my pool pump?” Well, we wholeheartedly agree with the folks at Leslie’s on this one. “The pump should be run as long as it takes to cycle all the water through the circulation system,” they write on their pool tips page. “This is called Turnover Rate, and it varies from pool to pool based upon the size of the pool, the plumbing, and the pump. A general rule of thumb is to run the pump for 6 to 8 hours.”

Need some help with your pump? Send us an email and we would be happy to take a look at it for you.

Here is another good tip when it comes to adding chemicals into your pool, which you may need to do at certain times even with a pool maintenance company: From Leslie’s: “NEVER mix chemicals together. Mixing chemicals together may cause reactions that were not anticipated, such as explosions, fire, or the release of toxic chemical compounds. These can cause injury or damage to the pool. Always follow labels on chemical products for applications.”
